5 Weight Loss Myths You Need To Stop Believe In
There is so much false information out there… And we know how hard it is to know what is true and what is false.
Here are 6 myths you should STOP listening to:
#1 Carbs are BAD for you
Don’t listen to the hype. Carbs are not the enemy, they are not bad and they will not cause you to gain weight.
Carbs are the body’s main source of energy and you should not eliminate them.
Why do you lose weight when you cut carbs?
Well, most of it is water weight that can create the illusion of fat loss.
A caloric deficit is what creates fat loss, whether you eat carbs or not.
#2 You Should Not Eat Late At Night
Another stupid myth. Our body is working 24/7 and it does not stop working after 8 PM.
A 100 calories are still 100 calories even if you consume them after 8 PM
Again, weight loss is about creating a consistent caloric deficit, And as long you maintain this deficit you will lose weight regardless of the time you choose to eat.
#3 Sweat Is What Makes A Good Workout
Not correct.
What makes a good workout is a performance progression and this should be your main goal when trying to build a toned & athletic body.
Increase weight, Increase reps and always push yourself to do a bit more.
This will bring you results, the sweat is just a by-product.
#4 Good Food Vs Bad Food
Polarizing foods as good or bad is not a healthy way to look at nutrition. You should aim to follow a well-balanced diet and consume more nutritious food than less nutritious food.
With that said, you should know that if you do eat something that is less “nutritious”, it’s not the end of the world. We are humans after all.
#5 The Scale Is What Matters
This could not be further from the truth. Each of us is different and 2 people can weigh the same and look completely different due to body composition.
You should focus on feeling good, getting stronger and following a sustainable program that helps you build a healthy lifestyle, boost your metabolism and make things simple to implement.
The weight is just one indicator of many and should not be your main concern.
Bottom Line
Train smart, be consistent and don’t listen to nonsense.
